The Art of Bookbinding, located at Berrima, has launched a stylish new website.

John & Toni Myers purchased The Antiquariat bookshop from Gordon & Cathy Hughes, who were big supporters of the BOOKtrail and Book Town initiatives. Most notably, Gordon was the organiser of the Book Fairs held in conjunction with the Australian Festival of the Book in 2002 and 2004. We wish them the best and thank them for their efforts in creating the Antiquariat, dubbed as "Bowral's Best Browse".

Pictured here is John (right) and his son, Troy (left), who assisted his parents in getting their new venture established. John has had a long career as an aviator and is looking forward to his new vocation as a bookseller.

The Myers are adding new directions to their bookinventory. Check it out at www.antiquariat.com.au or drop by the Penders for a look.

Longtime bookseller and proprietor of The Brown Bookshop, Nancy Shearer, has sold the business to new owners, Peter Hull and Lorraine Woodhouse. Nancy did not have any immediate plans for the future, aside from having a well-earned break, but we wish her well in whatever she chooses to do.

Nancy is pictured here (left) with Peter Hull, welcoming him as the new owner. Customers will continue to see familiar faces from Nancy's staff, who are helping Peter and Lorraine with the transition.

Michael and Mandy Eccleston have a new venture in cleverly renovated premises in the historic Old Coop Building.

Eccleston Books & Curios is an outcome of a lifetime interest in literature and book collecting. The browser will find an eclectic mix of Australiana and classic childrens literature as well as modern firsts and prints.

With backgrounds in the arts and cultural sphere, both Michael and Mandy are enthusiastic about joining the Southern Highlands BOOKtrail and participating in future booktown events.

Already their inventory is benefiting from acquisitions being negotiated from the library of a leading Australian pastoral family so the shop is well worth a visit.
