TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The competition is called the Booked-Up-Car Guessing Competition
2. The competition is conducted as a trade promotion by BiblioQuest International, 3/47 Bowral St. Bowral NSW 2576.
3. The competition involves entrants guessing how many books might be packed into a classic Holden motor car. Competitors can submit their entries by two methods:
(a) On official forms issued to customers at the Books-to-Berrima Book Sale Day on 2nd November 2003;
(b) On a web page at the BookTown Australia website www.booktown.com.au
4. Entry to the competition is free but only one entry is allowed per competitor.
5. The period of the competition is from 22/10/2003 until 02/11/2003
6. The competition organisers shall estimate the number of books that might be packed into the classic Holden car. The motor vehicle used for the calculations shall be on display at the Books-to-Berrima Sale Day and photos of the car shall appear on the BookTown Australia website. Based on the estimate, a single random draw from a range of numbers within +/-50 of the estimated number will take place. This draw will be will be made in public at the Books-to-Berrima Sale Day at approx. 4pm on Sunday 2nd November 2003, only after entries have been closed and the entry barrel sealed. Entries via the website will have been closed earlier at approx. 2pm. The drawn number will become the winning value for determining the nearest guess by competitors.
7. The nearest guess to the winning value will be determined as the final winner. The next nearest four (4) entries will be stand-by winners should the final winner not be contactable or does not claim the prize. If more than one entry is equal in being nearest to the winning value then those entries will be placed in a barrel and the final winner drawn from that group, followed by the stand-by winners in sequence.
8. The final winner will be declared at 12 noon on Wednesday 5th November 2003.
9. The prize for the winner will be a $2,000 open order voucher for purchases from the BibliOZ.com website. The voucher is not redeemable for cash.
10. The final winner will be contacted in person by telephone or email in the first instance or by post. The prizewinner's name will be published on the BookTown Australia website and in the public notices section of Southern Highlands News edition of 12th November 2003. If the final winner cannot be contacted and the prize is unclaimed after 3 months, then the next eligible stand-by winner shall be declared the new final winner.
